8TEM (TEM stands for templates) started out in May 2005 focusing directly on XOOP and Zen-Cart e-commerce templates. It has been inactive for some time, and was recently completely renovated. The same templates that were available are still here and available for puchase, but also includes other website templates from other sources as well. As of the new launch date in September 2009, with the combination of all sources, there are/were 453 websites to choose from. Some of the templates are not available for purchase, due to their licensing requirements, but other external templates can be purchased at face value (8tem doesn't mark it up). Original 8tem templates will be specifically marked.

8TEM supplies content on this site so that you know exactly what is necessary to have a successful website. Articles will be published from time to time based upon our 13 years of experience in web design, programming, CSS, search engine optimization, e-commerce, security, file management, best practices, usability, etc. Please sign up as a member to receive these updates. You will also be notified regularly when new templates become available and when free templates are published.

Any of these templates can be customized according to your preference: maybe a web template has the look and feel that you like, but you don't like the logo or the background color. On each of the template pages, there is a form you can fill out to explain how you would like to customize the website template. After 8TEM receives your request, we will contact you to further clarify what requirements are necessary for your project. In addition to selecting the best template or design for you, please visit the "how to get started" section, so that you know exactly what is involved in the process. Once you are familiar with the steps, you can select a package, one that best suits your project.
